with the forest behind, i grew up in a small farming village in the southernmost parts of the Netherlands. ever since i was little, i have been curious about almost everything that crosses my path. i have spent hours picking flowers in nature, going on adventures in the farmer's fields, and visiting almost all neighbours of our street. i also always asked a lot (read: a whole lot) of questions, because i always want to know the why of everything.

i still philosophize daily about topics like love, (evolutionary) social psychology, and the art of creative health. i feel inspired by the dynamics of everyday life, but also by language in the broadest sense of the word. it's the small, often unnoticed things and moments that catch my attention. therefore -with a vulnerable, philosophical, and romantic perspective- i keep on writing, so i will not get lost in my own head, nor heart.
